OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Since its inception, the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation has achieved remarkable milestones, thanks to the foresight and determination of both the Foundation’s Board of Trustees & Advisory Council, and its strong Management. The following are some of the modest achievements of SABMF, covering various aspects of its core mandate.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES
The Foundation as part of its mandate to develop and empower women and youths in the Northern region has conducted series of training under its Women Vocational Entrepreneurship Development Programme (WVEDP), in order to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies of beneficiary women and youth on entrepreneurship. A total of 2,900 beneficiaries were trained.
The training programmes were conducted in all the 19 Northern States. In 2022 the Foundation trained community leaders and owners of tsangaya schools on the importance of integration of Almajiri system of education with Western education. Also, in 2023 soft skills training was conducted in SMEs in Yobe State and a similar one in Nasarawa State. In 2024, the Foundation organized a One-Day Arewa Youth Assembly Programme aimed at encouraging Youths to prioritize entrepreneurship for personal fulfillment and sustainable economic development. Also in 2024, the Foundation in collaboration with MacArthur Foundation, unveiled the Almajiri Skills Acquisition Training Project, where selected Almajiri students were introduced to traditional cap making and design as well local embroidery designs.

UNDERGRADUATE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP
In 2012 SABMF introduced Undergraduate Scholarship in public tertiary institutions in Nigeria to promote the study of science and technology by indigent students of the 19 northern states and the FCT. So far, 880 students were awarded scholarships of One Hundred Thousand Naira only (N100,000:00) each annually for the duration of their courses of between four (4) years to seven (7) years.

Advancing Community Healthcare
We deliver Medical Caravans, train Traditional Birth Attendants, provide health education, support vaccinations, and strengthen medical manpower to improve community health.
Leadership and Good Governance
Every January, we honor Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, and other leaders through our Annual Memorial Lecture, promoting leadership, good governance, unity, and progress.
